Abby Phillip, a journalist from the United States whose recent appearance on CNN sparked pregnancy speculations, her real name Abigail Daniella Phillip.

The journalist, who is of Afro-Trinidadian origin, was born on November 25, 1988, in Virginia, United States. She has five further siblings. When she was a little child, the family briefly relocated to Trinidad and Tobago before moving back to the United States when Phillip was just nine years old.

Phillips later lived in Bowie, Maryland, where he attended Bowie High School. After initially intending to pursue a premedical degree, she eventually obtained a Bachelor of Arts in government from Harvard University. Phillip had contributed to The Harvard Crimson while a student.

On August 16, 2021, Phillips gave birth to her first child, Noami Angelina Richardson, at the age of 32. Noami, which translates to “lovely one,” and Angelina pay homage to her cherished maternal grandmother who passed away in 2014.

Prior to joining CNN in 2017, she worked for The Washington Post, where she handled general assignments and national political reporting.

In New York City, the United States, Phillips was an ABC News Fellow and a digital correspondent. She began her career working for Politico as a White House reporter and blogger. She hid concerns about lobbying and campaign money.

The parents of Abby Phillips are June Phillip and Carlos Phillip. She resides in Washington, D.C., with her husband, Marcus Richardson, and daughter, Noami Angelina Richardson.

The pair wed at the Larz Anderson House in May 2018, and in 2021 Phillips announced she was expecting their first child. She also belongs to the sorority Delta Sigma Theta as an honorary member.

Even the 33-year-old has occasionally been on PBS’s Washington Week with Robert Costa. At Drake University on January 14, 2020, she served as co-moderator of the seventh Democratic debate prior to the 2020 Democratic Party presidential primary.

The moderator of the debate, a journalist, was also accused for treating Bernie Sanders unfairly. For The Dream Deferred, a book she is writing about respected Jesse Jackson’s bid to become the 1988 Democratic presidential nominee, she received a deal with Flatiron Books later in 2020. It will be the first significant contemporary book on the life and political legacy of Jackson, and its publication date has been set for 2022.

With her husband and children, Abby Phillips now resides in Washington, D.C. She met her husband at a gathering when they were introduced by mutual friends.

On January 11, 2021, Phillips made her debut as an Inside Politics newscaster, taking John King’s place on the political chat show’s Sunday mornings.

But on weekdays, John King is the host. On January 24, 2021, Phillips began anchoring the program “Inside Politics Sunday With Abby Phillip.”
