‘Batman’ | Find out where to watch the Batman movies

The new Batman movie, now starring Robert Pattinson, hits Brazilian theaters this week with a proposal to approach Bruce Wayne as a psychotic anti-hero, taking attitudes as questionable as those of his adversaries. Set in a more down-to-earth Gotham, the film wants to distance itself from all the other versions of the Hooded Crusader that have ever appeared on the big screen. Follow Celebrilla for more updates.

With that in mind, CinePOP has listed where you can find the movies of these previous versions of the hero if you want to watch them before finally seeing the new Batman. Check out!

A reflection of the 60s, this film is based on the iconic series starring Adam West to tell the story of a sinister foursome formed by the Joker (Cesar Romero), the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), the Riddler (Frank Gorshin) and the Catwoman (Lee). Meriwether), who comes together to try to end Batman (Adam West) and Robin (Burt Ward) once and for all. But how are they going to do that? With the Dehydrator, of course… A crazy invention that reduces human beings to dust. So, the Dynamic Duo will need to survive the villains to save Gotham in the midst of its antics.

The movie that redefined the hero in theaters tells the story of wealthy Bruce Wayne (Michael Keaton), who lost his parents as a child, living in Gotham, where he dresses up as a bat and fights organized crime at night. During an escape, one of the partners of the local crime boss ends up falling into a tank of chemical substances and transforms into the terrifying Joker (Jack Nicholson), who will terrorize Gotham in a variety of ways.

Marked by substitutions, this film is a sequel to “The Return”, but it doesn’t even come close to the previous ones. Tim Burton was replaced by director Joel Schumacher, Michael Keaton was replaced by Val Kilmer as Batman, and Billy Dee Williams’ Two-Face was replaced by the Tommy Lee Jones version. In addition to the exchanges, the film introduces a caricatured Jim Carrey as Riddler, the great threat of the plot, Nicole Kidman as the hero’s love interest and Chris O’Donnell as Robin. Did you find it confusing? Well, the movie is like that.

Responsible for burying the franchise that started in 1989, Batman and Robin earned an apology from director Joel Schumacher sometime before his death. Well, this one is bad and it hurts. Val Kilmer left the role of Batman, making room for George Clooney and his costume with raised nipples. Trying to replicate the playful style of the 60s, the film is a total fetishist mess, full of skin-tight clothes, weird situations and jokes that didn’t quite fit that universe. The villains of the time are Mr. Cold (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman), who is accompanied by the most messed up version of Bane possible (Robert “Jeep” Swenson). Between villains and bat-credit cards, the film still punches in the middle of a weird plot between Robin and Batgirl (Alicia Silverstone).

Starting a new franchise, which would dictate the direction of DC in theaters in the following decade, Christopher Nolan’s Batman hit theaters in a more down-to-earth version, featuring Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne, a billionaire who fights the mob in Gotham inspired by the bat trauma suffered during childhood. Slightly inspired by Batman: Year One, the film features the cold and calculating Cillian Murphy as the Scarecrow and Liam Neeson as his mentor and rival, Ra’s Al Ghul.

The hero’s most famous film, The Dark Knight is completely dominated by Heath Ledger’s supernatural performance as the great villain of the time, the Joker. In addition to him, following the tradition of two villains in this trilogy, Two-Face (Aaron Eckhart) makes his debut in this more realistic universe, while the hero goes through trials and needs to make choices that will affect his life forever. For many, it’s the best comic book movie ever made.

Closing out the trilogy, Batman spent a period of retirement, becoming an urban legend of Gotham. However, with the emergence of Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) and terrorist Bane (Tom Hardy), Bruce puts on his armor and cape again to try to stop the masked villain from blowing up his city to start a civil war and conquer what’s left. But Bane is a very strong threat, who will try to break Batman’s body and spirit.
