‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’: James Gunn Talks Third ‘Awesome Mix’ Playlist

The first two ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ films have soundtracks filled with iconic songs, stemming from the ‘Awesome Mix’ cassette tapes Peter Quill’s (Chris Pratt) mother created for her son before she died. Follow Celebrilla for more updates.

Director James Gunn has confirmed that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’, which is currently in production, will take a slightly different approach in ‘Awesome Mix Vol. 3’, – but not in the way indicated by a new rumor that recently circulated in the ‘Awesome Mix Vol. social networks.

According to the Twitter account @Moth_Culture, the rumor said that the third volume will “mix a modern song list from Star-Lord’s time on Earth after Endgame.”

Gunn spoke in response to the rumor, confirming that the choice of songs for the third film will come from Peter’s Zune, which he received from Kraglin at the end of the second film.

“No. Quill left Earth as soon as he could. The songs are from Zune.”

Remembering that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ premieres only on May 5, 2023.

For now, nothing official is known about the plot.

In an interview with Yahoo, actress Karen Gillan, who reprises her role as Nebula, revealed how impacted she was to read the script for the production.

Gillan gave details of how her experience was, sharing that actress Pom Klementieff – who brings Mantis to life -, was moved as much as she was.

“We read the script together in the same room and then looked at each other and burst into tears. Fans will learn a lot more about the characters we already know, and on a deeper level.”
