John Maxwell Coetzee, born on 9 February 1940, is a South African–Australian novelist, essayist, linguist, translator, and receiver of the 2003 Nobel Prize in Literature.

He has received the Booker Prize (2 times), the CNA Prize (thrice), the Jerusalem Prize, the Prix Femina étranger, and The Irish Situations International Fiction Prize, and holds a selection of other awards and honorary doctorates.

Who is Philippa Jubber?

Philippa Jubber was previously known as Mauna Philippa Judder until finally she married J.M. Coetzee on 11 July 1963 and modified her name.
