‘Kraven the Hunter’: Dangerous Spider-Man Villain May Make Her Adaptation Debut; Check out!

According to The Illuminerdi, actress Taylour Paige (‘Zola’) is being tipped to play the villainous Calypso in ‘Kraven the Hunter’, an upcoming adaptation starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Follow Celebrilla for more updates.

Previously, rumors also indicated that Jodie Turner-Smith (‘No Remorse’) was also interested in the role, but there are still no updates on the dispute.

Created by Denny O’Neil and Alan Weiss in 1980’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ #209, Calypso Ezili is a voodoo priestess with mind control and resurrection abilities, and plays a key role when Kraven gains his enhanced abilities.

She later becomes the Hunter’s love interest and a formidable villain to Spider-Man and his antagonists.

The Kraven movie will also feature Russell Crowe in an unknown role, although speculation suggests he could be playing Kraven’s father Nikolai Kravinoff.

Fred Hechinger was also cast as Kraven the Chameleon’s half-brother.

Directed by JC Chandor (‘Margin Call’), the production of the new film is in the hands of Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, while shooting will begin in 2022.

‘Kraven the Hunter’ opens in theaters on January 13, 2023.
